Top New York Fashion Week 2026
New York fashion week 2026 kicked off with a host of firsts. Rachel Scott made her debut runway debut at Proenza Schouler, taking over from founders Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez.
At Area, designer Nicholas Aburn mined the party-girl attitude that the 2016-founded label was built on – think blown-up twists of metallic streamers and Borrowers-sized sequins.
1. Altuzarra
Since 2008, Joseph Altuzarra has crafted pieces that embody the power, boldness, and sensuality of modern women. His collection combines his multicultural upbringing with an authentic French heritage.
This season, he stayed true to his established language of feminine, artfully constructed beauty, while subtly twisting it through fairy-tale motifs and a forest palette. Ticket options include front row or priority seating at Gotham Hall.
2. Area
With a new creative director at the helm, Area offered a fresh perspective. Instead of a red carpet fantasy, Nicholas Aburn targeted the downtown cool girl, offering satin drop-shoulder oversize hoodies and classic denim staples that walked the line between wildly fun and livable.
He also layered in tailoring, sportswear references, and denim reworked into new silhouettes. Aburn put a new spin on Area’s signature dazzle and proved that glamour can function in fast-paced, unpredictable New York.
3. August Barron
Get closer to the action with VIP tickets, including front row seating and priority entry. See the runway show and discover an energetic new vanguard of fashion talent at Gotham Hall.
Benjamin Barron and Bror August Vestbo founded All-In as an experimental fashion magazine before they debuted a collection in 2015. Now, as August Barron (which rebranded this season), the pair continue to blur the lines between artifice and authenticity.
4. Diotima
Rachel Scott’s runway debut – and first catwalk show – was an exuberant, poetic homage to her Jamaican heritage. She evoked the joy of carnival, where beauty and sensuality are acts of power and resistance, in crocheted dresses in passionfruit and lime green and reworked sailor motifs.
Four years since launching her label, Scott has become a force to be reckoned with. She won a CFDA emerging designer award in 2023 and last year landed the womenswear prize.
5. Eckhaus Latta
Eckhaus Latta fuses art and fashion with oversized silhouettes, deconstructed styles, and unique materials. This season, the bicoastal duo delved into workwear staples with a contemporary edge. Think washed denim with creased quadrants and marled knits. Plus, tarp utility canvas skirts and cut-out cargo pants.
Step inside the runway show with a VIP ticket. See the collections, up-close and personal. CFDA members get priority seating and access to exclusive runway accessories.
6. Elena Velez
The CFDA is proud to announce the Official NYFW Schedule for 2026. Enjoy access and amenities at Gotham Hall with tickets starting at $85 (GA) or $375 (front row VIP). Whether you’re an influencer, buyer, journalist, or true fashion connoisseur, you can experience the glamour and creativity of NYFW like never before. Join us!..

7. Fforme
Frances Howie’s sophomore Fforme collection spoke of sun, sand and liberation from the grid. Her well-honed silhouettes were adorned with cascades of Abstract Expressionist color, with a soundtrack blending music with quotes from Helen Frankenthaler.
Previously the Fashion Features Editor at Wallpaper*, Jack Moss is now a senior editor with the magazine. His work explores the moments when fashion intersects with other creative fields, especially art and design.
8. Heirlome
Step into NYFW with VIP access and premium seating to see designers and brands redefining fashion. See the full Official NYFW Schedule at the link in our bio.
Heirlome’s Stephanie Suberville plays with tonal dressing and soft-to-the-touch materials this season. But her Pre-Fall 2026 collection reads as more than a progression: it’s an assertion of confidence. The interplay of structure and intuition defines a distinct Heirlome aesthetic.
9. Khaite
Khaite designer Rachel Holstein proved that dark-wash denim is no longer outdated. From long leather jackets that widened shoulders to cinched dresses with bubble hems, the collection exuded raw confidence.
She also loosened tailoring with black oversized bolero jackets, floating scarfy layers and whirled body-hugging organza shapes. She reworked power pantsuits and debuted nubby salt ‘n’ pepper woven skirts and tunics.
The runway show was a master class in style—from head-to-toe Khaite looks worn by celebrities to the brand’s new Blake clutch bags.
10. LaQuan Smith
Despite being rebuffed by New York’s fashion education establishment, the self-taught designer from Queens continues to build his luxury womenswear brand in his own way. His runway show is the main event of NYFW 2026. Tickets are on sale now. The Official NYFW Schedule is organized by the CFDA. The CFDA provides logistical support and show-to-show transit through the CFDA NYFW Shuttle presented by Google Shopping.
